Fees

Tria Card — fee schedule Taken from Nimbus, LLC’s own documentation. Anything the issuer does not publish is marked, never estimated.
Item Fee
Virtual card issuance Free right now (limited-time offer in the app); the card terms say 25 USD
Physical card issuance 109 USD (PVC) / 250 USD (metal)
Annual fee Free (monthly fee listed as 0%)
Deposit fee The card terms state "up to 1%" for USDC settlement/deposit while the help centre states deposits are free. A Provider Fee may also appear on deposits — the issuer states that is the cost of on-chain swaps and bridging, not a Tria charge
Non-default currency transaction Up to 3% (the issuer contradicts itself — see the notes)
International transaction Up to 1% (listed in the card terms as separate from foreign exchange)
Crypto conversion Not published
ATM withdrawal (USD card) 1 USD + 1% (current figure in the help centre). The card terms cap it at "up to 2 USD + 3%"
Declined transaction Up to 2 USD for an ATM decline; up to 2 USD for an ATM balance inquiry (card terms)

The three membership tiers

Prices and cashback come from the card terms and the help centre; the card product and what Virtual actually cost come from our own application on 2026-08-09. The two official documents name the tiers differently — the terms say Virtual / Plastic / Metal, the help centre says Virtual / Signature / Premium. We use the latter.

Signature109 USD4.5%Visa SignaturePVC card + virtual0%
Premium250 USD6%Not publishedMetal card + virtual0%

Foreign exchange, international transaction, ATM and deposit fees are the same across tiers — the issuer publishes no tier-specific rates. Cashback timing is also the same for all three: nothing pays out until after the token generation event.

Limits

Per-transaction limit No fixed figure published — the terms state limits are set dynamically by the issuer against the collateral in your linked wallet, and may change without notice
ATM withdrawal limit Up to 3 withdrawals per 24 hours, 750 USD per withdrawal (help centre)

Cashback

By membership tier: 1.5% Virtual, 4.5% Signature, 6% Premium. The help centre states rewards are paid in USDT or USDC — the user cannot choose which — are currently uncapped, and are distributed quarterly, but only from about three months after the issuer's token generation event, with a settlement wait of up to 90 days to allow for chargebacks

Who can apply

We have not confirmed eligibility in the regions we track. Check the issuer’s own list. Issuance fees are usually non-refundable, so walk the app as far as the KYC step before paying anything.

Applying for the card, step by step

Our editor applied for a Tria Virtual Card and recorded each screen. The source for this section is actual use, not documentation — and this time the hands-on contradicted a figure in the official terms. The account name has been cropped out of the screenshots; nothing else is altered.

Applying for the card, step by step: results Hands-on by this site · last confirmed 2026-08-09
Virtual membership fee Nothing charged (the app shows "Free for life" with a limited-time badge)
Price in the card terms 25 USD — does not match what we saw
Virtual card product Visa Platinum (Visa Signature is the middle tier)
Virtual cashback 1.5% in the app, matching the help centre
Identity check Government ID plus a selfie; the issuer says about a minute
Country selection Must be the country you hold residency or legal documents for
Choosing another country KYC is rejected, and the issuer states there is no refund
VPN The issuer says to turn it off before starting
Accounts per person One. KYC on a second account is rejected
The first screen in the Tria app, advertising up to 6% cashback
The first screen after install. Tria leads with "Up to 6% cashbacks" — but 6% is the top Premium tier; Virtual earns 1.5%. The card shown is the middle Signature tier.
Tria membership screen showing the Virtual Card marked Free for life and limited time offer
The most important screen in this walkthrough. The card terms price Virtual membership at 25 USD, but the in-app membership screen reads "Free for life" with a "Limited time offer" badge, and nothing was charged. Both are the issuer speaking, so we publish both: the fee table says free now, terms say 25 USD. This screen also shows that Virtual is a Visa Platinum.
Tria pre-application rules, including that choosing the wrong country means rejection with no refund
The rules shown before you apply, worth reading line by line. The second and third say the same thing from two directions: pick the country you actually hold residency or legal documents for, because picking another one means rejected KYC and, the issuer states plainly, no refund. The fourth: one account per person may activate cards.
Tria identity check requirements: government ID from your country of residence, selfie, no VPN
The identity check: a government ID from your country of residence, a selfie, and no VPN. This is the technical side of the rule above — changing your apparent location to apply is blocked here.
The Tria Virtual Card being activated
Activation after verification is submitted. A virtual card does not wait for anything to ship.
The Tria app home screen after the card was issued
The app home once the card exists. Balance and cashback are both zero because the account is new and nothing has been spent — and cashback will not pay out until after the issuer's token generation event, so that figure stays at zero for a while. The account name has been cropped from the header.

Where these numbers come from

Every figure above was read from the issuer’s own page: https://docs.tria.so/card-terms-international. We last read it on 2026-08-09.

Checking note

First checked 2026-08-09 against the official Card Terms International (effective 2026-01-09, fees and limits), the help centre articles "ATM Withdrawals", "Cashback General Information", "What are Tria Cards?", "What are Tria Memberships?", "Tria Card Top Up Guide" and "What are Provider Fees?", and "How to get a Tria Card". Start with the structural difference from every other card here: you pay before you get the card. Most cards we list are free to open and only cost you when used. Tria charges a one-time membership fee — 25 USD for Virtual, 109 USD for Signature, 250 USD for Premium — and nothing monthly after that. This is not a verdict, it is a question of whether you want to commit a sunk cost up front, which matters most when the cashback payout is still tied to an event that has not happened (point 3). This check found three places where the issuer's own documents contradict each other. We record all three rather than picking the convenient version: (1) Foreign exchange fee. The card terms read "Foreign Exchange: Up to 3%", while "What are Tria Cards?" and the membership pages say "zero foreign exchange fees". The terms are the legally operative document; the help centre describes current practice. We publish both, because what you are actually charged depends on which one governs — and the issuer does not say which. (2) ATM fee. The terms cap it at "up to $2 + 3%"; the dedicated ATM article says "1 USD + 1%". We record the help centre's current figure and the terms' ceiling in the same cell, for the same reason. (3) The currency cashback is paid in. The help centre is explicit: USDT or USDC, with no user choice. Third-party write-ups almost uniformly describe payment in TRIA token with 20% up front, a three-month cliff and the rest vesting over six months. We could not source that version to any official document. The difference to a cardholder is large — a stablecoin versus a token with no established price. We record what the help centre says. (4) Added 2026-08-09, sourced from hands-on use rather than a document: the card terms price Virtual membership at 25 USD, but the in-app membership screen read "Free for life" with a "Limited time offer" badge and nothing was charged. We publish both figures in the fee table, because a limited-time offer ends and the 25 USD in the terms is what applies when it does. The screenshots are in the walkthrough section below. Ranking: moved from 55 to 62 with this update. The entry cost going from 25 USD on paper to nothing in practice is a real improvement. It did not move further because whether the cashback ever reaches you is still tied to a token generation event that has not happened — which is not the same thing as a card that credits you every month. We will look again once cashback has actually paid out once. One more easy misreading: the tier names. The terms use Virtual / Plastic / Metal (25 / 109 / 250 USD); the help centre uses Virtual / Signature / Premium. They are the same three things under two sets of names, which matters when matching a price to a tier. On the claim that an access code unlocks 6% cashback on every tier: it appears in many referral write-ups, and we could not find it in any Tria document. We use a referral code ourselves, but we will not repeat a benefit we cannot source. On this site the code is only a code. Regions: Tria publishes no list of eligible countries, only "150+ countries" in marketing. The only eligibility statements in the terms are an attestation that you are not a US citizen and that you are not OFAC-sanctioned. Taiwan and Hong Kong are therefore both unconfirmed; "available in Asia Pacific" is marketing language and we do not treat it as evidence. The issuer is Nimbus, LLC (Delaware), issuing under licence from Visa; Tria itself is a product of Threely Dimensions Inc. Those are two different legal entities, and which one you deal with in a dispute is governed by the terms. Worth noting: the terms charge 10 USD for each copy of a transaction document or statement, unless it is needed to resolve a billing dispute. That is unusual among the cards we list. We have a referral relationship with Tria; the apply button is an affiliate link (code 0FETK5PTXT) marked sponsored. The ranking position reflects the fees and the uncertainty described above, not the relationship.
